Cell biology

I’m a big fan of cell biology and have done basic science research using C. elegans and mouse cell cultures. I picked up microscopy as a pandemic hobby and spent a lot of time sampling and examining plant tissues (some pictures can be seen on my Instagram).

Psychedelics

My interest in psychedelics has greatly influenced my relationships and life trajectory. During my undergraduate degree I was a part of the McGill students’ chapter of Canadian Students for Sensible Drug Policy. I’ve followed developments in psychedelic science fairly closely, and in October 2020 delivered a journal club presentation on the 2018 paper Psychedelics Promote Structural and Functional Neural Plasticity.

I’m particularly interested in how psychedelics may help heal depression and assist people in dealing with stress and finding greater resilience.
